FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Cheri Baker educates Healthcare Leaders on Motivation during Turbulent Times
Seattle, WA - January 19, 2009 - Cheri Baker is offering some surprising advice to stressed out Healthcare Leaders. "Motivating staff is easier than it sounds, even when times are stressful," she says. "Many leaders think that motivation is just about pay, or that you need formal recognition programs. But motivation is really about creating an emotional connection between the job and the employee, and leaders can learn how to strengthen that connection just by how they speak and act."
Cheri Baker is educating Skagit Valley Healthcare leaders on the art of motivation in January at a meeting of the Northwest Medical Managers. "Healthcare is a rapidly changing industry," Cheri remarks, "both in terms of regulation and the constant mandate to improve quality. Healthcare leaders are looking for concrete ways to stay positive and keep staff productive in the midst of very heavy workloads."
Cheri founded Emergence Consulting in 2006, and she has since developed a reputation for delivering workshops that motivate as much as they educate. A recent client of Cheri's may have said it best when she remarked "For the first two sessions [with Cheri] I was on vacation. When I came back, it was like night and day! Staff really did work on making the work environment better for everyone."
